Aprašymas: The footage includes war damage in an apparently abandoned town (the sign on a house wall says Mons, Belgium), an airplane landing in a field, zoo animals, a military parade, Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I in a carriage, German Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg taking a walk, an alert drill in a hangar, and gas grenade impacts. In addition, there are several ships, including a camouflaged American aircraft carrier, the destroyer USS Melvin (DD 335), a steamboat that may have been used for target practice, what appears to be a British warship, and a German U-boat firing. The shot of a sinking steamer was also used in the 1917 film "Der magische Gürtel". It is unclear who compiled this footage into a film reel and with what intent. What is clear, however, is the thematic focus on the First World War.
